Singing
Cougars is the school chorus
composed of 80-90 third and fourth grade students. Third grade
students
practice at 7:30
a.m. on Wednesday mornings, and fourth grade students practice at 7:30
a.m. on Tuesday mornings. They maintain a repertoire of patriotic
and
character development songs with four performances annually.
There is no cost involved in being a Singing Cougar. The PTO
purchases the performance shirts. Attendance at practice is
required unless there is an excused absence from school. The
Singing Cougar Sponsors are Mrs. Jussara Horton, Mrs.
Donna McCarter, and Mrs. Marsha Meador.

4-H is an
agricultural/environmental/ community based informal education program,
of the University
of Tennessee, for
school aged
children 9-19.
The 4th grade students meet once a month for 45 minutes from
October
through March. They choose projects to complete from a workbook, as
well
as
participating in various local and county-wide educational
competitions. These
contests include such things as essay, poster, photography,
baking,
public speaking,
etc.

Safety
Patrol is made up
of fourth grade students who are nominated by their teachers for being
responsible and positive influences to their peers.
These
students serve as
morning hallway representatives who assist other students and monitor
hallway
activities. It is a privilege to be nominated and serve in this
capacity.
